Faulkner Fisheries was founded by me, Sean Faulkner in 1980. I was born in Jersey in 1954 and grew up in L’Etacq; the northern most point of the beautiful St Ouen’s Bay which boasts miles of golden sand, blue sea and surf lined coast.

Historically my family worked as fruit and vegetable merchants and dairy men and as a young boy I learnt to fish the sea and farm the land at L’Etacq. The old boys would take me under their wing and show me the ropes, it seems becoming a fish merchant was in my blood.

After leaving the sea in 1980 having spent six years as a purser with P&O on cruise ships, I set up Faulkner Fisheries. We operate from Jersey and Guernsey with our own viviers and a rustic restaurant here at L’Etacq.

Pop down for your Friday fish order or enjoy our summer seafood bbq. Sip on a glass of local wine or beer with a serve of beautiful freshly cooked fish whilst taking in the magnificent views of St. Ouens bay.

The ethos in every sector of the companies is seafood. Yet each specialises in their own particular field whether it be retail, wholesale, export and now we provide beautiful freshly cooked seafood served overlooking the breath-taking St Ouens bay with a glass of wine or beer.

I initially set out to build an honest and reliable family run business. Which I am now proud to boast has remained so for over 40 years

So there you have it.

Bouon Appetit!”
